HOLSTEN – William P of Mineola, NY on December 27, 2018.   Beloved husband of the late June A. (Scheetz). Devoted father of Linda Schwarz, William A. (Janet), Robert (Joan), Kathleen Luber, Glenn (Peter Dobrin) and Patricia Murphy (Daniel).   Loving grandfather of Jennifer Carelli (Joseph), Mark, Marissa Walter (Ryan), Margaret, William T., Katy (Michael Cate), Adam (Jamie Kenney), Eric, Allison La Petina (Nicholas), Christopher, Juliana, August, Peri, Brian, Megan and Shannon.   Adored great grandfather of Joey, Lily and Greyson.   Born in Brooklyn NY August 18, 1931.  Son of Wilhelm and Margerethe Holsten (both deceased) and loving brother of Dorothy and Elsie.     Graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and the Polytechnical Instute of Brooklyn.    Captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers (Korea 1952-53), engineer with Mobil Oil Company, salesman with 3M Corp, Ordained Deacon in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, and 20+ year president of Nassau Lutheran Bowling League.   Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at  Weigand Bros Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY.   Funeral Service Monday 10:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 47 Winthrop Street, Williston Park NY.   Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 6540 Grand Avenue, Flushing NY.   In lieu of flowers donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 47 Winthrop Street, Williston Park NY.
