Boyd, Charles F. of Williston Park and Mineola, NY on August 28, 2018. Beloved father of Kathleen Messner (John), Mary Carroll (Chris), Patricia Lee (George), Margaret Burritt (Kim), Agnes Kirschner (Ken) and Anne Jones (Doug). Loving grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 10. Dear brother of Katherine Mulcahy and the late James. Charlie was a veteran with The United States Marine Corp serving during the Korean War, Past VFW County Commander, Past Commander of American Legion Williston Post #144, member of the Marine Corp League and Catholic War Veterans, Commander of VFW Post #1688 and was a volunteer driver for Nassau County Veterans Association. He was also a Director of St Aidan’s Youth Council, founder of the Harvard Street Kazoo Band, original member of the Comanche Raiders Marching Band and a retired Newsday Journeymen in Composing. Visitation Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY. Funeral Mass Monday 10:00 am Saint Aidan’s RC Church. Interment L.I. National Cemetery.
