Obituary of Jerry Gagliardi
Jerry was born on September 19, 1934,to Maria (Perillo) and Saverio. Jerry was the youngest of 5, three brothers Leonard (Fannie), Danny (Dorothy), Anthony (Rosemarie) & a sister Rose (Charles). He was born & raised in Brooklyn, and enjoyed all the Kings Borough had to offer. Jerry was a huge sports fan including baseball, suprisingly rooting for the NY Yankees. He loved football (NY Giants), horse racing & hockey (Montreal Canadians).
Jerry followed his brothers into military service, joining the US Army in November 1954 where he served in Germany until becoming ill with diabetes. Jerry recieved an honorable discharge from the service in November 1956. Jerry met his wife Connie, they married in November 1963.
Jerry worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Fomento, a Puerto Rican agency in charge of Industrial Promotion & Economic Development.
Although Jerry & Connie did not have children, they enjoyed family life with many nieces & nephews-Jerry was always entertaining them playing trivia especially Presidential & U.S. States triva, also cards & other games. Jerry leaves behind his wife Concetta, & many nieces & nephews - with a legacy of how life should be lived in faith to God, & a strong commitment to family. May he enjoy his rebirth in Heaven joining all his family & friends who have gone before him.
