Our best guess is that instead of St. Peter greeting her at the Pearly Gates, it must have been St. Therese of Lisieux who welcomed and embraced Dear Dolores back to her Heavenly Home.
Dolores’s deep devotion to “The Little Flower “ was known to all who knew her.
In January, 2014 Dolores asked Susan LaFex to deliver her St. Therese Prayer Card to me. It was quite ragged around the edges evidencing that it had been much used by her. Needless to say, I was and continue to be deeply touched that Dolores shared her much loved prayer card with me.
A famous quote of St. Therese’s is “A word or a smile is often enough to put fresh life in a despondent soul.” Dolores exemplified this spiritual wisdom for the forty years that I’ve known her. Richard and I shall always remember what a welcoming and inclusive manner she possessed. Dolores lived St. Therese’s “little way” which teaches us to do the ordinary things of life with extraordinary love.
In a prayer created by St. Therese, she prayed to God that someday she would receive the crown of life eternal. As a devotee of St. Therese, we’re certain Dolores, like St. Therese, received The Crown of Life Eternal .
May she rest in peace.
Cheryl & Richard LaFex-Maestri

We first met Dolores five years ago at the wedding of our son Daniel to Dolores' granddaughter, Anne. She was beautiful, warm, and gracious. Our son is very lucky to be part of her loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the members of this wonderful family at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Mary Anne and Gary Radus

We are so sad to learn of Dolores' passing. Although no words can really help to ease your loss, just know that you are very close in our every thought and prayer. You are a wonderful loving family with many years of memories to help you through this difficult time. With sympathy and love, the Castles.

When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help. I was just listening to my mom share her happy memories of their very long friendship together. Your family is a huge part of our family and I will keep all of you in my prayers.
