COSTABILE - Mary (nee Mulholland), 92, of Williston Park, NY, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Paul Costabile. Devoted mother of and survived by daughter Rose Mary Prodgers, son Thomas, wife Rosanne, son Paul , wife Deirdre and son Michael, wife Susan. Loving Nana of Anne, Allison, Christine, Thomas, Julie, Nicole, Brianna, Louis, Michael and Courtney. Dear sister of Thomas Mulholland and the late Rev. Charles, Catherine, Robert, Joseph and Peter. She was born in the Bronx and raised in Ozone Park. Daughter of Thomas and Rosena Mulholland of Belfast, Ireland. Mary was secretary to the Director of Idlewild Airport (JFK) when it opened. She met her husband Paul there who was a policeman on the airport crash crew. Mary eventually became secretary to the Director of the Port Authority. Mary and Paul moved to Long Island to raise their four children. Theirs was a long and loving marriage. Mary was the parish business manager at St. Aidans R.C Church for many years and the first woman member on the parish council. Mary's ten grandchildren loved her deeply. She was a big part of their lives and will be deeply missed and always remembered as their loving "Nana". Visitation will be at Weigand Bros Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, N.Y. on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10:00 am at Saint Aidan's Church. Interment to follow at L.I. National Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimer's Association , www.alz.org.
