Mary Elizabeth Wesley of Albertson, New York, passed away peacefully on August 8th at the age of 101.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness and warmth. She was an unassuming and selfless person who always thought of others’ needs first. Mary was always optimistic and saw the positive in every individual and situation. Those that knew her will remember that when facing adversity, she would meet it head on without complaint. She was a prime example of “The Greatest Generation”.

Mary enjoyed a long happy marriage with her husband John. She enjoyed her family, especially keeping in touch with her grandchildren via her iPad. She took pleasure in the simplest things; cooking, talking with friends, playing solitaire, watching Alabama football and eating…..especially eating.

Mary is survived by her sons, James and John; daughters-in-law Laurie and Elaine; granddaughters Rachel and Michelle; grandson John; and great granddaughter Charlotte.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery with just the immediate family in attendance.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a joy to be with and spread her positivity and happiness to all.
