Ralph Iacontino Obituary

Ralph Iacontino, 91, of Plainview, NY, passed away on June 29, 2026, following a courageous and difficult battle with lung, heart, and kidney complications.

Ralph was born on October 18, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Ralph and Dominica Iacontino. He built a successful career as an Electrical Engineer, working first for IBM and later for Grumman until his retirement.

Beyond his career, he had a unique passion for meteorology. His favorite hobby was tracking the weather, frequently calling into local news channels with updates, and reliably reporting forecasts to his family and friends. Ralph was a natural entertainer who filled rooms with joy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his endless supply of jokes, his singing, his love for entertaining, can’t forget baseball , and most importantly, the profound, unwavering care he took of his family.

Ralph is survived by his loving spouse, Marie Iacontino; his devoted children, Maria Iacontino-Murphy and Deborah Iacontino; and his cherished grandchildren, Brooke and Nicholas Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dominica; his brother, Michael Iacontino; his parents-in-law, Frank and Nelle Campanella; and his brother-in-law, Carlo Campanella.
