Mark Fredrick Keller, 70, a longtime resident of East Williston, passed away in his childhood family home on June 22, 2026 surround by his family with loving support. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas and Gloria Keller on a leap year, February 29th, 1956. Husband of Suzanne Keller for 31 years, he was the father of three daughters, Katherine, Gretchen, and Allison.
After three years of working in sanitation, Mark was called to join the New York City Fire Department in 1983. He proudly served as a firefighter, including during the events of September 11th, 2001. Later in his career, he owned and operated his own landscaping company for 40 years and then established his meticulous blacktop seal coat company, “Mark’s Blacktop Sealcoat”.
Outside of work, Mark enjoyed sailing and fishing in Cutchogue out East, as well as golfing, billiards, and horse racing. He had an exceptional work ethic, remembered as a courageous firefighter who respected, provided for, and protected his family and community.
