Mary O’Hara (nee Flynn) of Williston Park NY passed away peacefully on June 13 th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland on May 11, 1968 and raised in the beautiful village of Cloghan, County Offaly. Mary was the beloved child of Jimmy and Mary Flynn who both predeceased her. Beloved wife of Paul and devoted Mother of Lauren and Jane. Dear sister of Ann Linden (Seamus), Julie Higgins (Kevin), Seamus and Selena Nevin (James). Sister-in-law to Ann and the late William Duffy, the late Elizabeth O’Hara Regan (Sean), James O’Hara (Laura), Megan (Robert) Saltman, Daniel O’Hara (Ellyn), Peter O’Hara, John O’Hara (Lori) and Grace LaForce (Richard). Mary was aunt to twenty-four beloved nieces and nephews and grand aunt to twelve nieces and nephews.

In 1994, Mary immigrated to the United States, settling initially in The Bronx, and then for the past 23 years in Williston Park in the County Nassau. While she built a vibrant life in America, her Irish heritage always remained close to heart.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held with visitation services on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Weigand’s Funeral Home, Williston Park, NY. Mass of Christian burial to be held at St. Aidan’s Church, Williston Park, NY on Saturday, June 20th 2026 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity GOAL USA (https://www.goalus.org/donate) where Paul serves on the board of directors.
