Geraldine J. Cannataro Obituary

Geraldine (Geri) Cannataro, 84, of Mineola, NY, passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2026 shortly following a cancer diagnosis. She was born in New York City to James Webber and Catherine Cuccia Webber on January 10, 1942.


Geri was raised in Astoria, Queens and attended Dominican Commercial High School, graduating in 1959. She married her husband, George, in 1968, and worked as a dental assistant for many years while raising her children, John (Colleen) and Danielle (Jim), in Fresh Meadows, Queens.  


Geri and George lived in New Smyrna Beach, FL for over twenty years before returning home to New York to spend time with their children and grandchildren, Matthew, Johnny, and Charlotte. Geri is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and her sister, Margaret (Margie) Collins Schneider. 


A private burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Smithtown, NY.


Family and friends are invited to a memorial mass at the Church of St. Aidan 505 Willis Ave. Williston Park, NY on Friday, 5/29 at 11:15am, followed by a luncheon.
