Quinn Thomas Spohrer Obituary

Our beloved son, Quinn Thomas Spohrer, tragically passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 29, just two days before his 30th birthday. Quinn was an outgoing, confident, and charming young man who truly lived larger than life, he was the charismatic heart of our family, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Raised in Merrick, Quinn shared a home and a beautiful life with his parents, Tom and Nicole, and his younger brother, Jaden. The family was blessed with many adventures, from Disney World and Caribbean cruises to the camping trips Quinn shared with his father and brother, where they bonded over their shared love for the outdoors.

Quinn was deeply committed to serving his community. He achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and dedicated his time as a volunteer firefighter for the Friendship Engine & Hose fire department in Merrick.

A proud graduate of Calhoun High School, Quinn went on to attend SUNY Geneseo. There, he served as the social chair for his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Mu, a role that perfectly captured his fun-loving personality and gift for bringing people together.

Always reaching for his big dreams, Quinn moved to Boston to attend New England Law. He was in his final years of study, dedicated to his goal of becoming a lawyer, when this tragedy struck.

Quinn is survived by his father, Thomas; his mother, Nicole; his brother, Jaden; and his loving dog, Alfie. He also leaves behind his aunt and godmother, Danielle; his uncle and godfather, David Spohrer; his cousin, Troy; his uncle and aunt, Ken and Nicole; and his grandmother, Diane. As well as numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Quinn’s memory will further be cherished by countless friends from school, work, and the many lives he touched through his service and his smile. We will always remember Quinn as a man who dreamed big and loved deeply. He was a bright flame that burned out far too quickly; though he leaves a gaping hole in our lives, we carry the warmth of his memory with us always.
