On February 20 2026, Gloria Cancelliere, aged 66, passed peacefully surrounded by her family.
To know her was to know light. She was a walking ray of sunshine. The kind of person who found the upside in every situation and carried warmth into every room she entered. Her smile was constant, her optimism unwavering, and her love unconditional.
She was fiercely devoted to her boys. As a mother to two sons, she was endlessly proud and protective of them, and frequently put them before herself.
Beneath her softness was strength. She liked things done her way, took pride in being the one in control, and worked hard throughout her life with determination. She gave freely and never asked for anything in return. She was often referred to as “boss” or “boss-lady” by those who knew her.
Though cancer tragically cut her life short, it never changed who she was at her core. She was loving, bright, loyal, and fiercely protective of her family.
She is survived by her husband Michael sons Nick and Mike, and her Sister Laurie, as well as many friends and relatives whose lives were touched by her light.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by living fully and loving fiercely just as she did.
