Elizabeth "Betty" Burton, 86, formerly of Williston Park, NY, passed away on 1/31/2026 in Greenville, NY. 

Born on October 14, 1939 in Manhattan, NY to Riccardo "Jim" Sorro and Frances Greco.  She attended Mineola High School, earned a BS at Hofstra University and later worked at Sperry Aerospace.  Betty had a lifelong career as a Bookkeeper and Accountant.  Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband Russell L. Burton and her brother Richard Sorro.

Betty dedicated her life volunteering and supporting many organizations and charities. 

Betty is survived by 2 Sisters: Rose(John) and Pauline(Edward) and sister in-law Wendy.  Loving mother of 3, Betty is survived by her sons; Russell Jr.(Maureen), Christopher(Donna) and Kenneth(Susan) for which she should nominated for sainthood.  Cherished Grandmother "Mimi" of 4; Elizabeth(Jordan), Amanda(Adam Wayne), Kenny and William.  Adored Great-Grandmother to 5: Beau, Hazel, Thatcher, Brooks and Louise as well as many nieces and nephews.  Betty will be greatly missed.

Visitation Monday March 9th, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY 11596.
