Lisa Marie LaRocca, 56, of Albertson passed away peacefully at home on

February 14 th . Lisa is survived by her beloved husband, William P. Rapp

and cherished son, Matthew W. Rapp. She was born on May 22, 1969 to

the late Joseph and late Dianna Ferraro LaRocca of Richmond Hill,

Queens, NY. Lisa graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 1986 as

Valedictorian of her class. She went on to get her bachelor’s degree in

accounting from Pace University in 1990. Lisa most recently worked as

Vice President of Finance for Church Group Pension in New York and

previously for Tokio Marine Management Inc. She leaves behind many

friends and relatives who loved her dearly, including her beloved friend

Marilyn Ciniglio. Lisa was sadly one of many victims of the tragedy that

befell New York in 2001 having to evacuate her downtown office at Centre

Insurance Co. among the dust and rubble. Lisa succumbed to cancer after

a brave ten-month battle. She will be remembered for her love of Christmas

and incredible generosity, for her love of travel and for hosting wonderful

get-togethers. A devoted wife and mother, Lisa will be remembered forever

in our hearts.
