Anna I. Pancotti

August 5, 1930–January 19, 2026

Anna Iannucci Pancotti of Richmond Hill, NY, beloved wife of the late Robert Pancotti, passed away on January 19, 2026, at age 95. Anna was born on August 5, 1930, in Westbury, NY, to Alfonso and Julia (Catapano) Iannucci. She attended Westbury High School where she formed many friendships, some of which lasted for decades. In 1954, she married Robert (Bob) Pancotti. In 1961, Anna and Bob moved to Luxembourg where Bob accepted a position with an airline. During their five years in Luxembourg, they travelled throughout Europe: they visited Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other places. In 1966, following the births of their children Robert and Carolyn, Anna and Bob resettled in New York. They moved to Forest Hills in 1974. Anna’s beloved husband Bob died in 1985 after 31 years of marriage. Anna moved to Richmond Hill in 2002. She worked in the office of a freight forwarding company for ten years until her retirement in 1995.

Family was enormously important to Anna. She was a devoted wife to Bob and mother to her children Robert and Carolyn, whom she loved dearly. During Robert and Carolyn’s elementary school years, she participated in class trips and other school activities. She loved spending time with her parents, her brothers and sisters and their families, and her cousins. For many years starting in the mid-1970s, she was a proud member of the Maria S.S. Dell’Assunta Society of Westbury, in which her parents and other relatives also were active. As a member of the Society, she helped organize events including the Columbus Day Dinner and the annual Feast of the Assumption, held in Westbury around the Day of the Assumption on August 15. At her apartment complex in Richmond Hill, she became friends with many of her fellow shareholders and joined committees for gardening and decorating during the holiday season.

Anna is survived by her children, Robert of Forest Hills, NY, and Carolyn of Eugene, OR, her sister Gloria Ciardullo of Muttontown, NY, and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Albert and her sisters Marie and Julia (Jay).
