Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Great-Aunt and Cousin. Barbara T. Logan, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27 th at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Rockville Centre, NY. Born to parents Robert and Rose Dusatko on September 5, 1946, with sister Sharon, in Astoria, NY.
Barbara grew up in Astoria and attended Long Island City High School. She graduated in 1964 and married Harry F. Logan on October 5, 1968. Barbara held office positions at various companies including McGuire Brothers, Presto Sales and Alpha Tank. Her most recent job was with Franklin Company Contractors where she served as a Bookkeeper / Office Manager from 1993 to 2018, retiring in December 2018 after 25 years of service.
Barbara had several lifelong friends who she was very close with and gathered with as often as possible: Rita, Janice, Elisa, Eileen, Ro, Joanne, Mary, Frannie and Lucille. She is survived by her beloved husband, Harry, her daughter, Stacey, and her son-in-law, George. Barbara is also survived by her loving extended family: sister Sharon, brother-in-law Lee, cousins Chris and Mary, their children, Kristy & Pat Summers, their newborn daughter, Hailey Mae; and Kelly and John Cutino. Barbara is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Robert, Renee, Lee and Kate, and her great-nephews, Christian and Michael. Barbara will be remembered for her loving personality, her moral compass, and her sense of humor, which was often accompanied by her salty, tell-it-like-it-is language.
Visitation will be held at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1 st from 7 pm to 9 pm, Thursday, October 2 nd from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, October 3 rd at Our Lady of Hope Church in Carle Place,
