Obituary of Thomasina Lang
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Lang, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and cherished member of the Williston Park community. Ina was born in Inverkeithing, Scotland, on September 21, 1937. She immigrated to America in 1963 aboard the Queen Mary, marking the start of a new chapter in her life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Ina was predeceased by her devoted husband, Kenneth Lang. Her three loving children survive her: Tommy (wife, Doreen), Susan (husband, Jeff), and Alan (wife, Stephanie). Her legacy also includes her seven grandchildren—Megan Smith and her husband Ryan, Kelly Lang, Robbie Nilsen and wife Keri, Katie Nilsen and her fiancé Rich, Alexandra and husband John, Samantha, Jessica, and Anthony—and her seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Jack, Cole, Emma, Alexia, Evie, and Penelope.
A woman of grace and kindness, Ina found joy in dancing with Ken, reading, and spending time at the British War Veterans Club and the Herricks Leisure Club. She loved watching BritBox and enjoyed staying connected with her family across Scotland, England, and Canada. Her family meant everything to her, and she found happiness in gatherings and the warmth of loved ones.
Ina's legacy will live on through the memories she created and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
The Wake will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weigands Funeral Parlor, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY 11596.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Good Shepherd Hospice, Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, NY 11570, in Ina Lang’s name.

Rest in peace, Ina. You will always be in our hearts.
