Margaret (nee Reilly) Geheb

July 16, 1936 – September 20, 2025

Margaret, previously a 45-year resident of Albertson, NY, passed away Saturday morning in Glen Head, where she’d lived for the last 9 years, under the care of her youngest daughter, Elizabeth and her family. Born and raised in Binghamstown, Co. Mayo, Ireland, to Anthony and Bridget (Meenaghan) Reilly, Margaret immigrated to the Bronx in 1958.  In 1967 she married her late husband, Henry Charles Geheb, at St. Margaret Mary in the Bronx. They moved to Albertson in 1971 andraised a family. Margaret is survived by four daughters: Ann Marie Miller (William), Bridget Carroll (James), Mary Beth Topor (Lawrence) and ElizabethO’Neill (Kevin). She was Granny to eight grandchildren: Reilly and Liam Miller, Regan and Sean Carroll, Ronan and Claire Topor, and Grace and Lauren O’Neill.

Margaret was a great cook, and she never missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. Margaret loved the NY Yankees and enjoyed Sundays listening to Fordham University’s Irish Music Program on the radio.  She was a voracious newspaper reader and a fanaticabout finishing crossword puzzles in ink. Margaret faithfully attended mass daily at St. Aidan’s in Williston Park. Margaret was the sixth of eight children, all of whom predeceased her: Eileen Mescall (John), Marie Pacher (Frederick), Shirley Murphy (Michael John), John (Margaret), Anthony (Bernadette), Thomas and Padraig (Barbara) Reilly. Survived by sister-in-law Kathleen Reilly and numerous nieces and nephews.
