I am heartbroken and in shock!
Jennifer reached out to me a few years ago because she found out that we were related to the same cousins in Italy. We even did a three-way FaceTime: New York, Italy, and Los Angeles. I was amazed at how fluent she was in Italian! My parents were born in Italy, but I never picked up the language as well as she did. I was hoping that one day we would meet in person. It was so much fun getting to know her on the Internet and seeing pictures of her family.
My sincere condolences to the family that she adored. She would’ve absolutely been over the moon to be a Nonna! God bless her husband, Mike and may the memories that they shared for so many years bring him comfort. Love, Aurelia Dickinson.

Jen, you were truly a force.
You loved with your whole heart, bold, bright, and without conditions. You lit up every room you entered.
The memories are endless, holidays overflowing with amazing food, lively parties full of laughter, Barr Beach days, and all the little moments in between. They’re etched into my heart.
But more than anything, I’ll remember your spirit, your warmth, your fierce loyalty, and your incredible heart. You gave so much of yourself to those lucky enough to know you.

Jennifer,
It seams unreal that you have left us. We’ve know each other since December 1966 when I arrived in the USA. Our families were so close and your mom was commara Angelina and your dad compare Mastronardi. Our dads remained true friends till the end.
We grew up together and you would always introduce me to your friends as cousin Angela. We slept over each other’s house. We would walk each other home one block at a time back and forth till we realized it was getting late and we had to depart.
The summer of 1970 in Cirigliano was so much fun and we had an amazing time together. We were bride’s maids for my sister.
I can’t forget you dusting the furniture to the music of Donna Summers.
Then in 1982 your Italian cousin came to NY. You were married and Mikey was one. He came to my house with your dad and we met. You gave him suggestions on how to ask me out. We all went to Cirigliano that summer and had a great time as well as other summers after that.
This is how I want to remember you, dear Jennifer, carefree and full of life always ready for a joke and a laugh!
I believe you are reunited with your mom and your dad, who was your Hero. Look down and comfort your loved ones. Your memory will always be alive in my heart and in my mind.

I had wonderful conversations with Jennifer when I was Michael's 5th grade teacher. She loved that boy so deeply and I understood since I'm the mother of an only son, also. We had so much in common, our Italian heritage and our love of family. I loved seeing her pictures of what she cooked and baked. My heart goes out to her husband and Michael. Her devotion knew no bounds.

I’ve known Jennifer since we were practically babies. We grew up across the street from each other. We carpooled to kindergarten , her dad would drive us in the morning, and my grandfather would pick us up at noon. As we grew up we ended up in different schools, she in Catholic school and me in public school. We still would get together after school and on weekends to play as kids, then hang out as teens. I remember my grandfather taking us ice skating , and spending New Years Eves at her house with her family. Her mother would sometimes have me stay for dinner. The family treated me like family. I moved away from Astoria when I married, and we didn’t stay in close touch, although we traded Christmas cards for many years. Through Facebook we connected more, and I enjoyed her posts and pictures and news of family and friends. She had a beautiful heart and her family meant everything to her. She will be missed. Godspeed my friend.

I met Jen over 45 yrs ago in HS. We instantly became friends. She was so funny and good hearted. She was liked by everyone. We lost contact after HS. Thanks to FB, we found each other again. We went to our 40th yr. HS reunion and had so much fun. We live in different states so we haven’t seen each other in person since. We talked and saw each other often through FaceTime. I’m going to miss those talks. Jen was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed. Jen, I will always love you. RIP my dear friend.

Oh Jenn, why am I on here writing this. I still can't believe you are gone. Thanksgiving weekends will never be the same. From you pushing us to eat all your desserts to your party peppers. And giving us the "ok then dont eat fu"when we couldn't eat anymore. You loved deeply you cared deeply of everyone around you. You treated my boys as your own amd they will never forget that ever. You were deeply saddened by the passing of MaryBeth and now you are both celebrating life from above. Hugging your mom and dad once again. I will miss you unconditionally.
