Jacqueline A. Christian Obituary

Jacqueline A. Christian, lovingly known as Jackie, passed away on August 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Born in Queens, New York, she was the cherished daughter of the late Julius and Estelle DiGilio. Jackie was a proud high school graduate who carried her education and values into a life defined by compassion, kindness, and generosity.

She was the devoted wife of the late Samuel Lawrence “Larry” Christian, and she will forever be remembered for her selflessness and the joy she brought to others. Jackie lived a life centered on love, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was charitable, considerate, and touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Loyal and compassionate, Jackie embodied all that is good in this world, and she will be deeply missed by her many friends and loved ones.

Her love for animals was especially profound. Jackie was a devoted caretaker to her beloved cat, Tiffany, and she made it her mission to provide food and shelter for every animal that came her way. Birds, stray cats, and any creature in need found comfort in her presence. She often carried bread with her to feed the birds and welcomed outdoor animals into her garage for shelter.

A woman of simple joys, Jackie made daily stops at 7-Eleven for scratch-off lottery tickets. Her dream was never to win for herself, but rather to help others in need. That spirit of generosity defined her life and left a lasting mark on those who knew her.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Estelle DiGilio, her sister, Georgianna DiGilio Mamelko, and her beloved husband, Larry. She is survived by her cherished cat Tiffany, her loving nephew Robert Hoenig, and countless friends who adored her.

Her memory will live on in the love she shared, the kindness she spread, and the lives she brightened. Jackie’s legacy is one of compassion, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to both people and animals alike.
