Joe Dwyer, our loved Father, Husband, Brother, Grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 3rd, 2025, at 83 years old.

Joe was the rock of our family, and he will always be remembered for his honor, sincerity, and kindness.  He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Joe, Kathleen, and Tricia, and his grandsons Jack, Daniel, Mathew, Joseph, and Sean.

Joe was born in Queens, NY, to his parents Anna and John.  He grew up with the love of a caring and loving family with his siblings, John, Kevin, Margaret, and Joan. 

Joe joined the army in 1960, serving in the military police. He then joined the NYC police department in 1964 and moved to the NYC Fire Department two years later, where he stayed for over 30 years.  He retired as a Battalion Chief and was very proud of his time in the fire department. Few people genuinely love what they do for a living, but Joe enjoyed his work and the camaraderie of his fellow firefighters.

Joe retired and lived a happy life, spending most of his time with his family.  Joe and Barbara were the love of each other's lives and true friends.  They built a legacy for their children and grandchildren that will never be forgotten.

We will miss you always and love you forever.
