In Loving Memory of Frank Prunella
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank Prunella on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Frank is survived by his wife, Antonia Prunella; his children and their spouses, Michael and Maureen, Dominic and Nikki, and Christina and Dan; his siblings Andy, Tommy and Cindy, and Benedetta; and his greatest joys—his cherished grandchildren: Jason, Teddy, Megan, Tommy, Franki, Grace, and Sadie.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Frank surely has a story to tell. He was truly one of a kind—larger than life, with a heart to match. He was the best Pop Pop, whose love for his grandchildren knew no bounds. Frank found happiness on the water, fishing from his boat, trying his luck with lottery tickets, tending to his garden, and simply being surrounded by the family he adored.
He especially loved the holidays, when laughter filled the room during games of Left, Right, Center and traditions were shared with pride. His deep Italian roots and love for family were the cornerstones of his life—values he passed down and which will live on through the generations.
There will be an unfillable space at our table and in our hearts. Holidays may be a bit quieter now, but Frank’s spirit will remain with us—through stories, traditions, and the countless memories we’ll hold dear.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at: Weigand Brothers Funeral Home 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY Tuesday, July 1st from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM A small service will be held Wednesday, July 2nd at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Astoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Prevent Cancer Foundation in Frank’s memory.
