In Loving Memory of Dorothy Ann Campanelli
Sunrise: April 26, 1937 — Sunset: May 21, 2025
It is with both sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife and friend, Dorothy Ann Campanelli, at the age of 88. Born in New York City, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Mary Ann Clyne and John Joseph Clyne, and grew up surrounded by her family that included three siblings, including Rosemarie, Katherine and Margie. Her childhood was filled with close family bonds and the values that would shape her life: strength, resilience, and a deep devotion to those she loved.
Dorothy met the love of her life, Nicholas Campanelli, with whom she shared more than fifty years of marriage before his passing 13 years ago. Together, they built a home filled with love, strength, and support — a legacy that lives on in their family. She was the proud and devoted mother of two daughters, AnnaMarie Mottola (married to Lawrence Mottola) and Maureen Caprariello (married to Ronald Caprariello). Her greatest delight in later years came from her three grandchildren — Sean Mottola, Ryan Mottola, and Annicka Caprariello — who brought light, laughter, and purpose to her days. She was a storyteller, a cheerleader, and a constant source of comfort to them.
Throughout her life, Dorothy was known for her gentle but at times feisty spirit and generous heart. Whether through her involvement in Holy Trinity Church, or simply as a neighbor and friend, she touched countless lives with her grace and quiet strength.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take solace in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved Nicholas, and that her love continues to stay with us. Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the values she instilled, and the love that fills our family. Services have been arranged by Weigand Brother Funeral Directors (https://weigandbrothers.com/).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to any of the numerous Alzheimers charitable foundation. We continue to cherish your spirit, Mom. You will always be missed.
