Jean Harford passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 15, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, to Charles and Martha Loesel, Jean was raised in Cambria Heights, NY. She married James Harford on October 23, 1965, and together they raised four sons in Port Washington, NY, building a life filled with love and adventure.

Jean lived an active and vibrant life, surrounded by friends and family. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her warm and engaging conversations. She worked in real estate and with the Welcome Wagon, helping others in her community. She enjoyed gardening, tennis, and ceramics and had a keen eye for tchotchkes and collecting unique items.  Traveling was one of Jean's great joys. She loved cruising with her family and cherished her time in Southold, NY, and Nettles Island, FL.

Jean's Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Port Washington. She will be remembered for her lively spirit, her love for family and friends, and her unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and cherished memories.

Jean is survived by her four sons and three daughters-in-law: James (Gloria), Steven (Jacquelyn), Gary, and Scott (Alice), as well as her eight grandchildren: Scott, Andrew, Elizabeth, Sophia, William, Matthew, Thomas, and Joseph.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, from 3 PM to 8 PM at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass on Thursday, May 22, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 6 Cottonwood Rd, Port Washington, NY 11050.
