Obituary of Carmela Paciullo

Carmela was the beloved wife of her husband of 63 years, Frank, and was loving mother to Mike (Maria) and Henry. She was the proud grandmother of Michael and Danny and loving aunt to Anna, Dominick, Anna, Anthony, Nicole and their wonderful spouses and children. She was also close to her cousins and their children and families. She was the loving and beloved sister of Rosina (Matthew). Carmela was predeceased by her sisters Donna (Peter) and Filomena and her half brother Teodosio, and was a loving sister-in-law to Frank’s sister Maria. Her family was truly the greatest joy of her life.

Born in Pietragalla Italy, she moved to New York as a teenager and later raised her family in Woodhaven, Queens and then in New Hyde Park, Long Island since 1986.

She was the most amazing cook. With her family, she prepared beautiful, bountiful meals for the holidays. Good memories of times with her will bring peace.

Remember her beautiful  smile and fun, kind, good-natured personality. She was so warm and her love lives on.

Let the light shine inside of you when you taste an amazing tomato sauce made from scratch, or stuffed shrimp, or chicken cutlets, or zeppoli for dessert.

Let it shine when you are at a beautiful beach or at a pool or when you see hydrangeas—especially blue ones, she loved them.
