Obituary of Carmela M. Circelli
Carmela Maria "Millie" Circelli (née LaSala), in her 100th year, passed away peacefully in her home that meant so much to her, on February 11, 2025, in Williston Park, New York.
Born on July 16, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, Carmela lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who found great joy in caring for those she loved. Cooking was one of her greatest passions, and she especially cherished preparing meals for her family, bringing them together around the table with warmth and love. She also enjoyed watching old movies, finding comfort and entertainment in the stories they told.
Carmela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Circelli; her parents, Vito and Carmela LaSala; her sister, Marie Laginestra(Nick); and three brothers, Phil LaSala(Margaret), Johnny LaSala(Gertie), and Benjamin LaSalle(Mary). She is survived by her children Dolores Rush (Ronald), Joseph Circelli (Mariane), and Francine Brady (Kevin); her granddaughter Caitlyn Mortimer (Benjamin); and her great-grandchildren, who she adored, Charlotte and Henry Mortimer.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a wake on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, 49 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, New York. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:15 AM at the Church of Saint Aidan, 505 Willis Avenue, Williston Park, New York.
Carmela’s love and devotion to her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
