DONATO - Dolores T., The heavens are brighter today as Dolores (Laurie) Donato entered its gates. Dolores a devoted daughter of the late Maria and Frederick Jackman Sr, sister of the late Frederick & Clifford Jackman, RN educated at Adelphi University, a vocalist with St. Aidan's choir, & loyal friend to many. After the death of her first husband George Briggmann, she blended her five children with six others to create the family she built with her loving husband, Samuel Donato. Together, they raised 11, and added a 12th child to their home. Dolores was the glue that held everyone together. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Donato, children, Susan LaFex, Arlene Kick, Richard & Tom Briggmann, Katharine, Stephen, Thomas, Matthew & Mark Donato, Kathleen O'Connor, Donna Clement & Elizabeth Moran, 22 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Jackman & cousin Rita Carmody. Arrangements have been made at Weigand's Funeral Home in Williston Park, NY for Tuesday, September 20th with viewing hours of 2-4:30 p.m. and 6-9:00 p.m.; Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Aidan's Church in Williston Park, NY on Wednesday, September 21st at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be after Mass at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Smithtown, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Anthony's Bread Line, 144 West 32nd Street, New York, N.Y. 10001
