Obituary of Teresa Miliano

Please share a memory of Teresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Miliano, Teresa S. (Teri) of Mineola, NY on May 16, 2016. Beloved wife of William. Loving mother of Scott. Cherished grandmother of Roland. Dear sister of Nancy Sturnialo, Susan Molfetas and the late Mical DiNuzzo. Proud daughter of the late Margery and Salvatore DiNuzzo. Also survived by adoring nieces Selina Carlucci and Nicole Sturnialo; nephews Michael and John Molfetas; daughter-in-law, Stacey Miliano. Teresa Miliano, or Teri, as she was known to friends and family, was a gentle soul with a vivacious spirit. Her optimism and positivity was influential to all those who met her in life. Her generosity and kindness knew no bounds. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Teri was an artist and designer by trade. She and her husband, Bill, would have celebrated 45 years of marriage next month. They were "high school sweethearts" in the most traditional sense. Their strong relationship stood as a shining example of love, commitment and longevity. Teri's sisters, Susan and Nancy, also doubled as her best friends. As a trio, their laughter and fun loving collective spirit was truly something to behold. They cherished and supported one another unconditionally, always providing an impenetrable foundation upon which all three could rely. As a mother, Teri was unquestionably without peer in terms of her love, support and devotion. Her only child, Scott, adored her for her kind spirit, her sparkling sense of humor and her brilliant personality. With their shared interests and life experience, they were truly the best of friends. The newest light of Teri's life was her grandson, Roland, who adored his "Me-Me" and made her so proud every day. He was her guiding light. Her favorite place in the world was East Hampton, where she frequented since childhood. In her spare time, Teri enjoyed quilting, crafts, film & television, reading, cooking, going to restaurants and spending as much time as possible with her family, which was the most important and special thing in her life. Teri lived a blessed life and will be missed by one and all. Visitation will be held at Weigand Bros. Funeral Home 49 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, NY on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass Friday 9:45 am at Corpus Christi Church, Mineola. Private cremation to follow.
